Under the general supervision of the Director, the Strategic Analyst is responsible for supporting the Director through a combination of project management, research, and analytical support. The Strategic Analyst will support all Divisions of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) at the direction of the Director in the planning and execution of special projects. This position requires a confidential relationship to the policymaker. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates, supports and/or manages special projects as instructed by the Director. Supports Divisions with planning and executing analytical and strategic projects. Researches and prepares policy briefings, talking points, presentations, and proposals for internal and external meetings. Conducts research and generate ideas and recommendations on topics of interest. Supports the identification and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for OMB. Conducts financial and operational analysis to support critical decision making. Assists with the identification and documentation of best practices within OMB. Performs other related duties as required.
