Position Title: StoreAssociate - Location: Fond du Lac, WI - Monday- Friday, First Shift! TheStore Associate position sells medical, industrial and specialty gases,welding equipment and hard goods and tools to customers. This positionresponds to inquiries or concerns from either walk-in customers or thosecustomers that call in. The Store Associate associate providesadditional warehouse support as needed. * Solicits sales from walk-inand telephone call-in customers assisting customers with identificationof product needs and locating merchandise. * Accurately completes andfiles all required paperwork on a timely basis. Documents sales, quotesor other information. * Enters sales & quote data into the computer andresearches information for customers using the computer system. *Receives payment for merchandise or services sold and enters sale intothe computer. Responsible for payments received and adhering to alladministrative and accounting related procedures. Wraps and bagspurchase and helps customers load merchandise into their vehicles. *Provides warehouse support for shipping & receiving, inventory stocking,cleaning, labeling, or other tasks. Restocks store merchandise asneeded. Arranges stock on shelves or racks in sales area and keepsmerchandise in order. Marks or tickets merchandise. * Follows allsafety procedures. Uses established safety procedures for cylinderhandling during exchanges and storage of cylinders. * Maintainsshowroom cleanliness by procedures set forth by management. * Maintainscurrent price documentation and product literature as it becomesavailable. Keeps product knowledge current. * Other duties and projectsas assigned.________________________Are you aMATCH? * HS Diploma or equivalent required. * Minimum of 2 years ofprevious product, warehouse and/or sales related experience and/ortraining (or equivalent combination of education and experience). *Strong background in gas, welding and safety supply industry with retailexperience preferred. * SAP experience strongly preferred. * Priorwelding experience preferred such as knowledge in MIG, TIG, and STICKWELDING preferred. * Prior experience operating a forklift preferred.* Excellent customer service skills. * Ability to work independentlyand under some pressure to meet deadlines. * Demonstrates a clear andeffective speaking manner for the purpose of explaining information tocustomers and employees. * Detail-oriented. * Ability toproblem-solve. * Ability to operate a fork-lift. * Ability to add,subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using...
