  Dal-Tile is currently searching for a detail-oriented Stone Sales Project Manager with strong organizational and project management skills along with the ability to estimate commercial stone projects. The qualified applicant will have a strong knowledge base of natural stone materials including granites, marbles, limestones, as well as quartz and other man-made materials. This individual will support, and drive stone cut to size sales for Daltile. You will have the opportunity to drive projects to successful completion and create meaningful relationships with prospective customers including Architects, Designers, Developers, General Contractors, and Fabricators who will utilize Dal-Tile products to complete their projects. Your ability to read blueprints and understand detailed architectural drawings will be essential to the success of the position. You work side by side with industry experts who you will collaborate with to provide Dal-Tile customers with exceptional service. This position will allow you to source products from around the globe while working with a collaborative team that supports your professional growth.   Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $94,000 and $118,000 + Quarterly Incentive* per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company-sponsored benefit programs.

  Primary Objective

  This position will allow you to source products from around the globe while working with a collaborative team that supports your professional growth. We are seeking a relationship builder who wants to make a meaningful contribution to Dal-Tile’s business goals and create long-lasting relationships with our clients.

  Primary Function and Scope

  Manages commercial stone projects through pricing, ordering, submittal, delivery, and phases.

  Provide a thorough review of shop drawings for submittal to the client and cut tickets for fabrication.

  Verify material range approval process with client and supplier.

  Manages the process of importing stone projects from international vendors including China, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, and others.

  Utilizes special order stone system to price projects. Travels throughout assigned regions to call on regular and prospective customers including Architects, Designers, Developers, General Contractors, and Fabricators.

  Reads blueprints, cut sheets and prepares take-offs when required.

  Provide stone technical assistance to internal and external customers

  Works with National Account personnel, Arch. Reps SSC Managers and Sales Reps to assist in large stone projects.

  Develops monthly strategy for sales calls and prepares monthly travel calendar based on that strategy.

  Conducts area market analysis of top accounts in each area including Developers, General Contractors, and Installers.

  Research area market product data to determine the types, styles, and sizes most commonly purchased in the area to determine sales strategy.

  Grows market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company-approved product margin goals.

  Utilizes influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customer’s showrooms.

  Conducts client follow-ups via phone calls, letters, and/or emails.

  Establishes and maintains client files and performs timely follow-up on programs and projects.

  Provide PK seminars to customers.

  Utilizes “On Demand” reporting to achieve sales objectives.

  Experience and Knowledge Required

  Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering preferable

  A clean driving record required

  5+ years of experience Drafting, Estimating, Project Management, or Stone Sales

  5 + years of experience reading architectural drawings

  Comfortable working with AutoCAD, Excel, & PowerPoint

  Previous experience in the wood or glass industry is acceptable

  Demonstrated ability to multi-task while prioritizing and executing various-size projects.

  Strong organizational skills are a must.

  Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)

  Working knowledge of fabrication process and installation techniques.

  Competencies

  Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of project goals. Proven interpersonal skills with experience negotiating prices & schedules.

  Problem-solving skills

  Must exercise independent judgment
