FTE: 0.900000 Shift: Shift 2 Job Summary: Under generalsupervision, performs routine tasks relating to the decontamination,processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipmentand sterile supplies. Operates and monitors cleaning/sterilizationequipment. Maintains records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, JointCommission and OSHA standards. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: One year of related healthcare experience ispreferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent isrequired. Successful completion of Central Sterile coursework preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to read and write is necessary tocomprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs, andcomplete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessaryto count instruments is required. Basic computer skills are required.Problem-solving and good communication skills are required. LICENSUREDESCRIPTION: Certification-Sterile Processing is preferred.
