　　JOB SUMMARY: The Preparation/Sterilization Technician duties include sterilizing instruments and items used in all areas of the hospital, according to sterilization procedures. Assembles surgical carts for OR and OB. Performs other related duties as required.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Education: High school education is preferred

　　Experience: Experience in health care environment preferred

　　Other: Certification in sterile processing preferred within 2 years of hire

　　TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires range of motion within functional limits. Requires frequent reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting and carrying items up to 30 pounds; extensive periods of standing and walking; manual dexterity; eye-hand coordination; functional vision and hearing.
