Job Summary This position provides critical expertise for Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)/Diversionary Work Program (DWP)/Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) programs and Wagner Peyser Career Services for the CareerForce. This includes the financial tracking of contracts, modifications and expenses. The position will be responsible for the technical management and design of special projects, negotiating contracts, assist in development of grant proposals and other related activities. Additionally, this position will represent the Wagner Peyser Act on the local workforce development board and work with the director of that area. This position will hire, transfer, and assign work to staff; write position descriptions, approve leave requests, process payroll transactions, conduct performance appraisals; and reward, discipline, suspend, discharge, direct and adjust grievances for staff. Location in Thief River Falls, this position will oversee services delivered primarily in Thief River Falls, Roseau, Crookston and East Grand Forks.
