  DESCRIPTION OF WORKJoin us as an intern and contribute to the exciting projects at Laurel Hill State Park Complex! Utilize your knowledge in biology and science to assist park staff in ongoing studies, research, monitoring, environmental education, and maintenance projects. As part of your role, you will be assigned specific projects with goals and deadlines, allowing you to work independently and take initiative in planning, researching, collecting data, collaborating, coordinating, executing, and reporting on project completion.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/24 to 8/30/24.Work hours: May work nights and weekends, not to exceed 37.5 hours a week. Typical hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:Recreation, Park, and Tourism ManagementPark and Resource ManagementEnvironmental Science/StudiesAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

  Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
