Description
Perform structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. Modify and review production drawings for a variety of projects including: power delivery facilities and power generation facilities. Design structural components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers. Apply strong knowledge of commonly used structural engineering and design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the structural engineering services industry. Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers. Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power delivery facilities and power generation facilities. Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients. Primarily domestic travel required up to 25% for internal meetings and client site visits. Telecommuting allowed up to 30 days per year. Multiple positions available.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a directly related field from an ABET accredited program, plus three (3) years of high voltage electric transmission line engineering experience.
Must have at least three (3) years of experience with the following:
Microsoft Office Suite.
Transmission line design codes and computer skills, specifically: PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, and MathCADD.
Preparing construction documents, including plan and profile drawings, structure load and design drawings, hardware assembly drawings, and foundation drawings.
Preparing specifications and project design criteria.
Leading discipline design tasks, mentoring, and delegating work tasks to team members.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s of Structural Engineering degree or a directly related field from an ABET accredited program, plus two (2) years of high voltage electric transmission line engineering experience in lieu of Bachelor’s plus three (3) years of high voltage electric transmission line engineering experience.
Must have at least two (2) years of experience with the following:

$87,152 to $110,000
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
