In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility, together with the team, of steering the direction of Java development at Zendesk. Your technical expertise will contribute to maintaining our Java service framework, ensuring its stability, security and efficiency to support our various business operations!

　　What youll be doing

　　Maintain and improve our internal Java service framework.Document and share knowledge about best practices and standards to be taken by our Java engineers.Collaborate with users to improve the tool based on their feedback and requirements.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and API references, to support the adoption of this framework across the organization.Continuously evaluate and stay updated with the new technologies, tools and provide recommendations to improve the framework and all of its related processes.Ensure the highest level of code quality and alignment to coding standards, design patterns, and implementation of effective standard processes.Optimize the cost and energy efficiency of the framework and associated infrastructure, in line with the company's dedication to sustainability and green practices.

　　What you bring to the role:

　　Proven experience in software development, with a focus on Java-based applications and service frameworks.Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and familiarity with reactive design patterns.Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.Ability to transform visions & roadmaps into reality.You love problem-solving, investigating issues and discovering the appropriate solution.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.Strong understanding of and dedication to software security ensuring the protection of sensitive data and the integrity applications built on the service framework.

　　Nice to have:

　　Experience building internal developer platform capabilities is a huge plus!Working with distributed event streaming platforms, preferably Kafka, and possessing a strong background in using technologies such as Istio, Vault, Kubernetes, and AWS.Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.Familiarity with frameworks such as Vert.x, Quarkus, MicroProfile, or Spring is highly preferable.

　　The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł268,000.00-zł402,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.
