Job Summary
The Garassino Lab is hiring a Staff Scientist to lead research projectsaimed at understanding the contribution of metabolism to lung cancercarcinogenesis and exploiting metabolic, genomic, and immunologicalvulnerabilities to innovate treatment of lung cancers. The individual inthis role will be involved in all aspects of the design, development,implementation, and analysis of research projects focused on lunchcancer carcinogenesis and treatments. This work will be at theintersection of research and clinical efforts. A highly motivated andindependent scientist with excellent analytical and organizationalskills is needed for this position.
Responsibilities
The Staff Scientist is expected to plan, execute, facilitate andadvanced technical/scientific research projects.Collaborates with other researchers as appropriate.Designs, develops and tests experimental protocols for research(including cell lines, animal models, organoids, empiricalprotocols, computational, statistical methods, etc.).Participates in the preparation and writing of grant applicationsand reports, and co-authors scientific research manuscripts.Supervises other research staff.May present work at scientific meetings.Serves as a resource for collecting data and performing analysis.Facilitates and promotes a research project by providing scientificor intellectual information.Develops laboratory protocols and training on new techniques.Manage, analyze and make recommendations on complex data sets forresearch.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
