Description
Under the supervision and direction of the Director and Associate Director of the Kameron Gait and Motion Analysis Laboratory, you will perform data collection and analysis using multiple systems to quantify motor performance, including motion analysis, electromyography, isokinetic dynamometer, and pedobarograph to measure foot pressure patterns (both clinical and research participants). You will prepare graphs of kinematic and kinetic data for gait reports, including pedobarographs when appropriate, and participate in gait evaluation meetings to review laboratory data along with lab director, physical therapist and orthopedic surgeon.You will also conduct quality assurance protocols as required to maintain laboratory accreditation, as mandated by the Commission for Motion Laboratory Accreditation.
Salary Range: $25.75-30.71Qualifications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and various software programs.
Holds a Bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical or bioengineering preferred)
Proficiency in Matlab programming, including the ability to create custom code for data analysis
Ability to work well within a team environment. Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with children, parents, staff, other professionals at UCLA and in the community
Skill in communicating clearly and professionally using proper grammar in written and verbal documents. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, researchers and clinicians
Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner in a busy setting with conflicting demands.
