The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is actively seeking a Staff Physician 2 to be a part of our Clinical Services Department at Clarks Summit State Hospital. The Department is looking for individuals who are resourceful, self-directed, energetic, and compassionate to provide essential medical services to patients.   DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Staff Physician 2, your duties include performing admission history and physical exams, including neurological exams on all new admissions. You review records from community hospitals and previous hospitalizations and formulate medical diagnosis, treatment goals and plans of all individual patients. You also perform a monthly review of designated patient's medication profiles in conjunction with the attending psychiatrist and perform a medical exam on each designated patient. You then document findings accordingly in the progress notes and review and update the medical treatment plan.

  Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work weekWork hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Noon on-call rotation required; possible on-call/on site rotation available weeknights, weekends and Holidays.May change based on operational needs.Overtime and travel may be required as needed.The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.FREE PARKING!Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine. .Special Requirement:

  All positions require possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.Other Requirements:
