POSITION SUMMARY
EVERNORTH Care Group pharmacies offer a full line of prescription services along with over-the-counter medications. Our pharmacists collaborate directly with health care providers to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for our patients.
The Staff Pharmacist Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a team of technicians and pharmacists at their assigned pharmacy. This includes implementing and/or supervising the development of pharmacy services in addition to coordinating and directing all activities related to the compounding, dispensing, delivery, receipt, and handling of medications and associated products within regulatory guidelines.
Core Responsibilities for Staff Pharmacist Manager Include:
Monitor productivity and performance standards and ensure that Annual Performance Objectives are met or exceeded.
Plans and directs workflow and project assignments.
Identifies and assists in resolving issues impacting patient care.
Provides input and recommendations for performance management and employee development.
Conducts hiring, training and evaluation of staff.
Works with pharmacy senior manager on creating policies and procedures for the ENCG pharmacy organization.
Ensures that medication therapies are appropriate utilizing clinical knowledge.
Counsels patients on appropriate use of prescription and non-prescription medications and therapies.
Educate patients in various disease states according to drug therapies.
Provide and document various clinical services including but not limited to comprehensive medication reviews, adherence barrier resolution, and statin use recommendations
Prepares and dispenses medications
Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Complies with all Federal, State, and Company regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
Works in and fosters a collaborative team environment to provide excellent patient care.
Helps maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment.
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
At least three years' experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting.
Management experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Good organizational ability; Strong attention to detail; Adept in change management
