Strategies and business development are centered on Oncology Services Cardiac Services and Orthopedics.

  Responsibilities

  Position Responsibility

  Under the Director or designee, the staff nurse provides and documents, goals-oriented nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of St. Mary's Medical Center. The staff nurse utilizes principles of the nursing process and coordinates clinically related activities to provide for the effective delivery of healthcare. Responsible to supervise the care given by the Licensed Vocational Nurses, Licensed Psychiatric Technicians. Hospital/Psychiatric Attendants, and other working under his/her direction. Applies Dignity Core Values to the performance of every job duty. These Values include Dignity, Collaboration, Justice, Stewardship and Excellence.

  Cares for patients in MedSurg/ICU or other areas of the medical center as necessary.

  Assesses all systems as indicated throughout the shift and informs physician of significant changes.

  Documents clearly and legibly all findings in the clinical record.

  Delivers care utilizing scientific principles.

  Follows established clinical policies, procedures, and protocols for practice including but not limited to medication administration, IV and blood therapy. Universal Body substance precautions

  Recognizes signs and symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress or other impending crisis; initiates emergency action, directs others and summons assistance.

  $5,000 Sign On Bonus available for new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

  Qualifications

  Minimum Requirements

  One year of acute care clinical experience as a Registered Nurse preferred, and have clinical competence relevant to the patient care area.

  Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field or equivalent professional experience.

  CA RN

  CT CPRBLS

  Must have leadership ability and good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and speak English clearly and be understood.

  Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

  Pay Range

  $69.47 - $86.42 /hour
