As a Staff Information Security Analyst you will be responsible as part of a team of highly skilled professionals for ensuring the day-to-day implementation, oversight, continuous monitoring, and maintenance of the security configuration, practices, and procedures for DoD Information Systems. You will be joining our team in Oxnard, CA and report to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM). This position offers great opportunities for technical experience and growth.
Position Responsibilities:
Follow NIST 800-53 series Protection Level 2 (PL2) security configuration guidelines.
Conduct required Information System (IS) vulnerability scans according to risk assessment parameters.
Ensure that system security documentation as part of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is developed, maintained, reviewed, and updated on a continuous basis.
Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in response to reported security vulnerabilities.
Monitor security controls to maintain Authorized to Operate (ATO) status across multiple IS boundaries
Coordinate with system owner and ISSM for concurrence on correction or mitigation actions
Ensure the removal and retirement of ISs being decommissioned in coordination with the system owner and ISSM
Interface with Security Control Assessors (SCA) as needed during audits or site security assessments
Upload all security control evidence to a hosted SharePoint application to support security control review during the monitoring phase
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred. Work experience or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND, SSCP).
DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with security apps such as Ivanti/ Secure printing / Sentris / Splunk /HBSS.
DoD 8570 IAT Level 3 certification.
Clearance Requirements:
Active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years. Candidate must be open to CI poly.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75%
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,000-$129,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
