　　Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Geologist to join our team in the Orlando, FL office.

　　This position provides a junior Geologist an opportunity to work with three Florida Professional Geologists based in our Orlando office. You will be able to work on diverse range of projects while supporting our due diligence efforts. 　　Responsibilities:

　　Plans field tasks, for environmental drilling, groundwater and soil sample collection, and management of field data

　　Prepares field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards

　　Maintains Excel databases associated with regulatory compliance

　　Assists with preparing regulatory submittals, such as reports, permit applications, and plans

　　Oversees well installations and soil borings

　　Collects groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water samples

　　Retrieves necessary data using online databases, off-line records, or other means

　　Enters collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines

　　Applies basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs

　　Assist with on-call emergency projects on occasion

　　Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree in Geology from an ABET accredited institution

　　0-2 years of relevant experience

　　Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting

　　Proficient with MS Office suite of products

　　40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus

　　Previous consulting experience is a plus

　　Must have a valid driver's license

　　Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites

　　Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
