Job Description Summary
The Large Military Engines Systems Engineering Staff Engineer will report to the Cincinnati based Military Field Integration Team (FIT) Systems Engineering Sub-Section Manager and be responsible for supporting the fan and compressor module hardware for the large combat and trainer engines. In this role you will work closely with design, product line leadership, product support and field service engineers as well as the USAF and foreign military allies around the world to solve challenging field problems to support customers objectives and warfighters around the world.

Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain broad awareness of efforts within section to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs.
Provide field troubleshooting expertise and tech data interpretation for customers.
Lead fan and compressor hardware related field investigations.
Provide technical support for safety risk assessments.
Establish plans and coordinate activities of multi-disciplined teams to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments.
Develop technical content and substantiation for field management plans.
Analyze field reliability data to develop appropriate customer field action recommendations.
Participate as a presenter or reviewer for internal/external technical and program reviews.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in an Aerospace or Mechanical engineering role.
Desired Characteristics
Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering from an accredited college or university.
Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Systems Engineering).
6+ years of experience in an aviation engineering environment working in the area of engine structures, rotors, or airfoils design and/or systems/product support.
Familiarity with gas turbine fan and/or compressor modules.
Familiarity with TOPS8D problem solving process.
Strong leadership, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
Keen listener and innate drive to succeed.
Established program management skills.
Flexible and friendly approach to working in teams.
Interest in being a self-starter with an eye constantly on problem solving and driving solutions.
Strong technical PC aptitude and demonstrated acumen with various digital tools.
Familiarity with Spotfire and SalesForce digital tools.
