Your Specific Responsibilities:
This incumbent provides a variety of support staff functions for the Onsite Sewage Environmental Public Health Program. Primary responsibilities will be daily maintenance of files for the onsite sewage environmental public health program. Organizes and maintains filing system for all Onsite Sewage files. Performs data entry for Onsite Sewage in the Environmental Health Database. Enters permit information into Marion County CD Plus online permit program. Files all Onsite Sewage permits and provides copies of permits for all information requests. In addition, this position is responsible for pulling all permit inspection requests for finals, repairs, and re-inspections. The incumbent will answer general questions concerning the Onsite Sewage permit process. Serve as backup for the OPS Clerk Specialist (942276), Staff Assistant (067986), Ops Senior Clerk (942280), OPS Senior Clerk (942278), OPS Senior Clerk (942279) and Staff Assistant (028556).This position requires varied clerical and computer skills. Operates copier, fax, computer, various computer databases.
Processes all Onsite Sewage permit applications received and scans the information to clients. Answers general questions over the phone and email while assisting clients in the office requesting general information regarding the Onsite Sewage program. Maintains digital and hard copy files of all pertinent Onsite Sewage information. Custodian of environmental public health records, charged with organizing and maintaining records. On a daily basis, files all Onsite Sewage documents which are received by environmental public health. Performs other related work activities as assigned.

Skilled in basic computer skills (including knowledge of how to use a computer, how to navigate to a website, how to use email, how to scan documents, and how to folder scanned items)
Qualifications:
Minimum-
Clerical experience including data entry, numerical filing, and scanning.
At least one year providing face to face and phone customer service.
Experience in computer programs (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred -
Experience with Environmental Health Database
Experience with CD Plus Permitting System
Experience with DOH Environmental Public Health programs
