Description
Musco Sports Lighting is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist in the management of the MCG (Mahaska Communication Group, an entity of Musco) financial records for internal and regulatory purposes. This role will also perform other general accounting tasks, support accounting initiatives, and support other roles within accounting as a back-up as needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
● Preparation of MCG financial statements and other Musco related companies.● Assist in MCG regulatory reporting as needed.● Assist with MCG and other Musco related companies’ budgets and year end projections.● Process MCG accounts payable.● Entry and reconciliation of MCG capital expenditures.● Assist in the management of Musco credit card program to include: o Verify coding of credit card transactions o Ensure appropriate approval of transactions o Coordinate with cardholders and credit card company to resolve disputed items o Maintain company configuration settings in online system o Assist team members with credit card questions● Monthly invoicing and lease transactions for Musco Finance.● Reconcile general ledger accounts.● Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements:
Four year accounting degree and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
