Description We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in the education industry, based in Encino, California. As a Staff Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. You will be responsible for working closely with our financial team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain and update financial records and statements.

• Prepare journal entries and perform general ledger operations.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

• Handle Paychex Payroll operations efficiently.

• Work with financial team to create and analyze financial reports.

• Ensure compliance with organizational and legal requirements.

• Manage invoices and tax payments.

• Resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

• Have a minimum of two years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Paychex Payroll system is essential

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Willingness to continuously improve accounting skills and knowledge

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
