Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant based in Miami, Florida. This role is integral to our finance team as you will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining accurate and organized financial records. You will also contribute to the preparation of financial reports, conduct in-depth analysis, and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and legal requirements, including tax return preparation and filing.

• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, managing accruals, and maintaining operational management accounts.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation, conduct general ledger account reconciliations, verify data accuracy, correct errors, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies throughout these tasks.

• Prepare financial reports, conduct in-depth analysis, and summarize account information to provide comprehensive insights, facilitating informed decision-making by senior management.

• Monitor and assess policies and procedures within designated departments, proactively identifying areas for improvement in accounting reports and procedures.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Perform bank reconciliations and handle general ledger tasks.

• Prepare and post journal entries as needed.

• Assist with month-end close processes and procedures.
