The Westinghouse Parts (WP) Principal Non-OEM Sales Engineeris responsible for leading the development of complex commercial offers for the Westinghouse Parts Business.The Principal Non-OEM Sales Engineer will work closely with the Fulfillment team to support the development of non-OEM parts offerings; the Inside Sales team and the Product Management team as needed.Additionally, the Principal Non-OEM Sales Engineer is expected to work closely with the global Business Units (BUs), Global Operations Services (GOS), account teams, supply chain, legal and marketing to ensure commercial offerings are positioned aggressively enough to win the award yet manage commercial risk, to the greatest extent possible while supporting growth initiatives in the non-OEM market.
This position is eligible for a remote working arrangment (within the United States).
Your Day to Day:Develop challenging offers for the Westinghouse Parts Business including:Review client specifications, drawings, manuals and other technical documentation needed to develop WPB offerWork with supplier to understand limitations of suppliers offer/product in meeting client's requirements Determine the cost required to meet the requirements and price the partPrepare technical offers to meet our clients' requirements with technical and commercial contentSuccinct description of product being offeredCreative solutions to problems during offer development to meet deadlines and customer requirementsDevelop and align cost and lead time strategies with supply chain and WPB Fulfillment organizationsDevelop and align on price strategies with WPB Sales and Product Management organizations and incorporating feedback into future offers to increase our win ratePrioritization and communication on offers to be issuedAssist in process improvement projects to reduce the quote turnaround time, evaluate standard pricing levels, and other key initiativesDevelop knowledge to analyze offers to be able to make informed pricing recommendations for core and new business opportunitiesDevelop FOAK Non-OEM product offerings to support business growth objectives
Who You Are:B.S. degree in engineering, business management, or qualifying experience10+ years of experience in engineering, business, operations, or nuclear parts sales with increasing progression and complexityEngineering skills, commercial effectiveness, change management and communication skills;Knowledge, skills, and ability to find solutions for obsolete and/or non-OEM nuclear parts;Self-motivated, personable, business analysis skills, collaborative mindset, and inquisitive behavior;Strong understanding of financials in general (relationship of sales, margin and OE) and how develop commercial offers to positively impact margin/EBITDA;Strong teamwork and problem solving skills;Clear understanding of the inter-workings of the organization (procedures and processes) and how to navigate and ensure completion of the actions.Strong communication and organization skills;Ability to communicate at higher levels.
