Description Robert Half is on the look-out for an organized individual with accounting chops to join a growing organization in the long-term contract / temporary to hire role of Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In addition, you will support the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will play an active role in compliance, collaborate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Cash Flow projections, Budgets, and Financial Statements. Based in the Danvers, Massachusetts region, this company offers an engaging and mulit-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded.

　　Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management

　　Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

　　Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner

　　Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

　　Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules

　　Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision

　　Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

　　Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

　　Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation Requirements - Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

　　Recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Deep understanding of account reconciliation

　　Proven knowledge of general ledger

　　Experience with month end closings

　　Solid understanding of bank reconciliations

　　Stop Loss experience preferred

　　Expertise in Monthly Bank Reconciliation

　　Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

　　Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

　　Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

　　Spreadsheet and database capabilities

　　Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

　　Efficient in ERP systems

　　Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
