　　Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half has an opportunity for you to become a critical part of an innovative Agriculture company, as a full-time Staff Accountant. This position will challenge your skills as your juggle multiple components. Candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, will be preferred for this Staff Accountant position. This role will involve internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Visalia, California area, at a company where effort is rewarded. To thrive in this position, you will need to be a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

　　Responsibilities

　　Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

　　Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

　　Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

　　Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

　　Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

　　Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

　　Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

　　Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

　　Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

　　Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

　　Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

　　Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

　　Requirements

　　Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

　　1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

　　Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　ERP system experience

　　Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

　　Solid understanding of general ledger

　　Month end closings experience required

　　Strong familiarity with financial statement preparation

　　Great attention to detail
