You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. 　　Key responsibilities

　　Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

　　Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

　　Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

　　Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

　　Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

　　Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

　　Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

　　Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

　　Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

　　Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

　　Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries Requirements

　　Strong analytical capabilities and discernment

　　Proficient with MS Excel spreadsheets and databases

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

　　3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

　　Proficient in ERP systems

　　Background working with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

　　Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Statement Preparation, Consolidation and Audit

　　Practical knowledge of Budget Processes

　　Experience with Month End closings

　　Budget Forecasting experience highly preferred

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

　　Jonas Club Software experience would be a PLUS

　　Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Earlier work involving CAM Reconciliation

　　Microsoft Excel experience is a MUST
