Naylor Building Partnerships Inc. is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Oakville.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
Perform various Month end tasks and Generate Monthly financial reports for management review and analysis.
Ensure all accounts are reconciled to the GL and are properly supported with appropriate back up documentation.
Maintain general ledger accounts and perform month-end procedures.
Review of budget variances and determine root cause(s) for management reporting.
Post general and recurring journal entries.
Reconcile accrued liabilities and prepaid accounts along with other Balance sheets accounts.,
Prepare weekly cash flows and daily bank balance reports.
Perform bank and loan reconciliations.
Reconcile and update intercompany account.
Assist in year-end preparations for all companies.
Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
Reconcile monthly credit cards.
Various Account reconciliations/investigations
Assist with government remittances for all companies (EHT, HST, WSIB, and corporate taxes) and maintain schedule of payment.
Assist in yearly budget preparation.
Review of budget variances and determine root cause(s) for management reporting.
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Education/ Experience:
University Degree or College Diploma with a focus in Accounting or related field
1 - 3 years related accounting experience considered an asset
CPA PEP Program
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS office and with various accounting software programs
Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
