Staff Accountant candidates will be interested in Robert Half's full-time opportunity with an innovative Legal company. To flourish in this role, candidates will need to be highly capable of handling a challenging work environment with many components. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you might be a good fit for this role. Key responsibilities
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Skilled with ERP systems
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Strong attention to detail
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
