Based in the Houston, Texas area, this role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Those with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets are preferred.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

　　Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

　　Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

　　Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

　　Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

　　In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

　　Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

　　Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

　　Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

　　Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

　　Requirements

　　Degree in Accounting or Finance

　　2+ years of experience

　　Bilingual - Spanish

　　NetSuite experience - MUST HAVE

　　AR/AP experience – will own this process.
