　　The Position

　　Staff Associate Engineers perform professional engineering assignments not requiring licensure by the State Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors.

　　Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

　　This posting is a position in the Minor Source Permitting Branch in the Bureau of Air Pollution Control. The duties of permitting include reviewing permit applications, communicating with facilities to get additional information, determining potential emissions, and drafting air quality permits. Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or written approval from the Nevada Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors stating that your education qualifies you to apply for a Professional Engineer License. 　　Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

　　Certification by the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as an Engineer Intern; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a closely related engineering field; OR two years of journey level technical experience equivalent to an Engineering Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional Position Criteria
