  Description

Do you believe cloud computing will be a disruptive force in government? Do you have technology experience across infrastructure, security, applications, and compliance requirements such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)? Amazon Web Services is seeking a Technical Program Manager to partner with a team of system, software, and security engineers to continue build and operation of our expanding internal corporate Controlled Working Environment (CWE) in support of US and global governments. We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, and motivated Technical Program Manager to lead the development of this corporate environment to include definition of architecture and technology approaches to automate, enhance, and build new functionality for end-user environments. This role is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon’s world class technical team, working with some of the best and brightest engineers and technical managers in the global community while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies anywhere.

  Inclusive Team Culture

We have twelve employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.

  Work/Life Balance

  • Engage with and influence the key stakeholders and internal teams to ensure compliance, security and operational functional requirements are met or exceeded.

  • Own and lead sprint management activities with our engineers.

  About the team

Amazon has a fast-paced environment where we "Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History." On a "typical" day engineers might deep dive to root cause a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with top Amazon engineers, or discuss new approaches to automate operational issues. Our team is dedicated to supporting new members, has a broad mix of experience levels/tenures, and celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help team members develop and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
