Payment Services is a core mission critical platform that provides payments capabilities for Amazon. We own one of the largest payments systems in the world processing billions of dollars annually and millions of transactions every day worldwide across more than 50 payment methods. We are looking for Technical Program Managers with a passion for new technology to come build some of the most critical and complex initiatives. Some of these include a new cloud based payments security product, a new payments Analytics and Recommendation platform and continuing our transformative journey to provide a highly pluggable payments architecture supported by the powerful, yet simple PayStation API.
Key job responsibilities
Define the strategy, requirements and influence the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the software applications, systems, services and other technology projects end-to-end.
As a key contributor throughout the engineering lifecycle, TPMs ensure consistent delivery of high quality software and influence technical decisions on architecture and implementation of software systems and services.
You thrive in entrepreneurial environments and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
You understand the customer and work backwards to define roadmaps and drive execution across stakeholders.
You clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross functional and remote project teams as well as have the ability to influence cross-team and from individual contributors to senior leadership.
Collaborate with program stakeholders in multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs Plan and coordinate events including facilitation and action item management.
Develop, Own, and report on: program goals, performance, efficacy and efficiency to a variety of stakeholders across different technical domains and at varying cadences (weekly / monthly / quarterly) for area of responsibility.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
