Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Analyst is a hands-on position primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining tax accounting policies and procedures for capital assets and leases. The Senior Analyst is responsible for maintaining the tax asset records for all Federal, State and Foreign fixed assets, intangibles, and leases. This position requires a high level of organization, effective communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in fixed asset management, with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, strong communication skills, and team management.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage tax fixed asset records using Bloomberg BNA fixed asset software, analyzing useful lives and coordination with Federal, State and Foreign tax depreciation laws, reviewing internal and external cost segregation studies, reviewing reconciliations to GAAP asset activity
Maintain intangible asset records using Bloomberg BNA, analyzing tax basis and preparing reconciliations to GAAP activity
Assist in identifying and developing department specific process improvement action plans and integration plans to incorporate newly acquired companies’ assets into software
Evaluate tax classification for leases and calculate book/tax difference, as applicable.
Proactively continue to develop tax depreciation skillset, including research, interpretation of laws, asset cost or value determination, and software updates.
Preparing property tax returns in PTMS property tax software and ensuring timely and accurate filing, tax bill review/processing
Preparation of annual property tax budgets with periodic updates at distribution center level
Develop and maintain custom reporting, Alteryx workflows as necessary to increase automation
Review inventory coding for LIFO
Other ad hoc responsibilities may be assigned at quarter-end or year-end
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-4 years’ experience with fixed asset accounting
• Strong ability to evaluate, analyze, prioritize work under tight timelines, and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion of responsibilities
• Team player with good communication, negotiation and presentation skills to interface with cross-functional team members and build strong working relationships
