　　Maxar is searching for a Software Engineer to join our Data Foundationsteam, based in Westminster, CO. The preferred candidate is locatedin/near Westminster, CO.

　　In this role, you will be part of a team that is responsible for growing andimproving the services utilized to exploit our 125+ PB archive of satelliteimagery. This team has led the way in utilizing AWS for satellite imagerystorage, enrichment and access. We are one of the largest users of AWS S3Glacier, push its limits, and we work closely with AWS to providefeedback. We were an early user of.

　　The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in developing andsupporting production level software systems. You are eager to grow yourcareer by tackling new challenges focused on providing effortless use of ourincredible imagery. Maxar teams are agile with high autonomy. We deploymultiple times daily and own our services from design through production.

　　As a member of this team, you will:

　　Research, evaluate, design, develop, implement, and improvestate-of-the-art software in collaboration with other software engineers,system architects, and business stakeholders.

　　Own cloud infrastructure and CI/CD system.

　　Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary agile team.

　　Follow and establish best practices for coding standards and softwarearchitecture.

　　Responsible for the 'ilities': availability, scalability,maintainability, reliability, and securability of our services. We embraceSRE principles.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Must be a U.S. Citizen

　　Demonstrated software development experience within a production environment.

　　Experience working in a collaborative development environment (e.g.submitting and reviewing pull requests, code reviews, team designsessions, etc).

　　Experience with Agile software development practices.

　　Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

　　Willingness to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Success delivering and maintaining complex software systems in production.

　　Experience automating infrastructure with Zero downtime deployments.

　　Terraform, CloudFormation and/or CDK

　　Jenkins

　　Linux system administration

　　Expertise with application monitoring tools and improving systemobservability.

　　Javaand/or Python experience.

　　In depth experience with AWS services

　　Familiarity with containerization and serverless development.

　　Experience building, monitoring, and alerting in micro-service architecture.

　　Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or satellite imagery experience
