Opportunity
This exciting and dynamic position manages the planning and execution of major capital projects
for Global Plastics Operations. Projects include new Greenfield Plants, Brownfields, Plant
Expansions, Process Automation, Tooling, and Equipment Replacements. This position touches all
aspects of Kohler’s business to achieve strategic investment objectives.
Specific Responsibilities:
Manage major capital projects from infancy to completion.
Ownership of the business case including objective, scope, proposed solution, investment, and justification.
Manage communications necessary for project approvals.
Partner with internal groups for success. (Finance, Facilities, IT, Smart factory, EHS, Purchasing, Product Engineering, etc.)
Manage external equipment suppliers, contractors, and/or consultants for success.
Partner with Plastics Operations teams as the customer. Continuous review of the project to ensure strategic objectives will be met.
Counsel and train less-senior engineers and technical support personnel in technical areas as required.
Position is Global in scope, but primarily focused on NA Plastics Operations.
Position location – Brownwood, TX. Must be reasonably commutable (within 2-3 hours)
Position requires 25% travel on average, based on project needs. Some Global travel required.
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited school in an Engineering field required, preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
3+ years of work experience minimum, preferred in a capital project management/engineering role from a manufacturing company.
Previous experience with automation installation projects and/or experience in sustaining automation equipment is preferred.
Additional experience in composites products and processes, tooling creation, and lean manufacturing encouraged, but not required.

The salary range for this position is $110,050 - $140,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
