  Main Ingredients of the Job!  

  General warehouse inventory slotting duties. Essential duties include determining location and slotting cases in the warehouse and clerical functions.

  Error identification and correction with focus on root cause.

  Maintaining records using a computer.

  Must be able to work in variable temperatures including cold.

  Lifting to 90 lbs. is possible.

  Familiarity with food warehousing and safety requirements is required. The work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as in cooler and freezer areas where the temperatures may be as low as -25 degrees.

  Must be willing to service on US Foods Contingency Team for travel to other divisions on an “as needed” basis.

  Maintain up-to-date information in the WMS and notification to the Engineering Department of changes so Slotting and Workforce Management Systems are updated (Examples are warehouse map and rack profiles)

  Work cross-functionally with Inventory Control and Procurement departments to identify opportunities, control shrink and optimize purchasing levels.

  What you bring to the table  

  Education/Training: 

  High School Diploma required 

   

  Related Experience/Requirements:   

  Two (2) plus years of clerical or other warehouse experience is required

  Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience preferred

  Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  Strong teamwork skills and the ability to be a resource to others in the department and the division

  Must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally and have strong customer service ability with all levels inside and outside the organization

  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  Must be able to work on complex tasks and prioritize workload amid competing priorities

  Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots.

  Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is required

  Experience in slotting and slot logic is strongly preferred

  Forklift Certified is strongly preferred
