Description

Amazon Robotics designs, manufactures and implements technologies within operations centers at the heart of Amazon’s core business. We are seeking exceptional and self-motivated individuals to support the Amazon Robotics system - ensuring optimal safety performance of critical global operations.

In this individual contributor support role, you will perform early lifecycle prevention and reduction of risk as it relates to the operator, maintainer and bystander for new technologies, products, and processes. The team structure enables full life-cycle support with specialized technological knowledge and skills to influence safety design and processes while allowing for better alignment with Engineering and global safety stakeholders.

Successful candidates will possess a blend of strong safety knowledge, trouble-shooting capabilities and customer-facing skills, along with a passion for technology.

Location may be Westborough, MA, North Reading, MA or remote.

Key job responsibilities

Leverage Support processes, systems and tools to resolve safety related technical problems.

Track issues through resolution phase, engaging technical subject matter experts and Safety Manager, as needed.

Manage, prioritize, and respond to cases within defined SLA’s.

Provide technical guidance to Fulfillment Center Operations, Safety and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot operational challenges.

Provide prompt, efficient, detailed, customer-oriented service to our internal Amazon Customer.

Create and maintain problem resolution procedures and identify need for new tools to support existing solutions.

Work with Engineering (SW/HW), Global Support (HSE/ARTS) and Amazon WHS teams to understand safety issues and solution options. Use good judgement skills for decision-making and escalate to AR Safety Manager as required.

Compile data to facilitate analysis by the Safety team.

Contribute to and approve safety Design Reviews, Solutions layouts, and Risk Assessments, as required by Safety Manager.

Evaluate installed systems during alpha, beta and prior to release for GA to ensure meeting requirements.

Manage team members.

Basic Qualifications

4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience

Experience scripting in modern program languages

Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow

Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications

Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system

Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
