Housekeeping - Custodian Team Lead 3rd Shift Bloomington, MN, USA Req #153 Tuesday, November 8, 2022 PURPOSE: Functions as a working lead, providing work direction to Custodian staff. Accountable for the performance of a variety of physical tasks in maintaining the cleanliness of the Mall. To ensure that guests to Mall of America have a positive shopping and entertainment experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas Provide outstanding internal and external guest service Assists in the supervision of Custodians, including but not limited to: day-to-day scheduling of team member tasks, assisting with monitoring and documentation of attendance and training. Inspection of work to ensure Mall of America standards are maintained. Provide input on performance appraisals. Serve as an on-duty person in charge of Custodians in the absence of an on-duty Housekeeping Supervisor Provide input into development or enhancement of Housekeeping procedures Assist supervisor in controlling inventory through check-in and check-out of equipment Check equipment prior to use; performs preventative maintenance according to schedule Complete logs documenting equipment use, keeps other records as required Operate power equipment associated with custodial duties Clean restrooms and stocks restroom supplies Clean seating areas, escalators, elevators, railings, telephone carousels and drinking fountains Patrol common areas of mall, park, and food courts during mall hours and clean spills, pick up litter, remove stickers and gum Sweep and wet mops floor in common areas in mall, park, food courts and service corridors Vacuum and extract carpet areas May clean high glass and fixtures requiring use of ladders, lifts and/or scaffolding Provide support and assistance to other team leaders, team members and other departments as requested Assist with snow removal when necessary Regular, reliable and consistent attendance Additional duties as assigned.
