Responsibilities
Skilled in process improvement methodologies (i.e. root cause analysis) to plan and coordinate process improvements
Leads quality improvements and escape prevention through data analysis, shop floor audits, and lean manufacturing principles
Develops processes, systems, and equipment that ensure the quality, reliability, and system safety of company or procured products and services
Participates in design and product reviews to ensure that producibility, reliability, safety, Quality System integrity, and business process management objectives are met
Applies knowledge of quality policies and practices to develop, document, and maintain quality systems and operating procedures
Develop and administer directives, policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements to assure quality system compliance
Applies knowledge of quality policies and governmental regulations to develop and administer long-range customer inspection plans, acting as agent/designee for customer, to meet contractual and other requirements
Ability to plan and coordinate improvements in manufacturing (e.g. hardware and tool acceptance, variability reduction, developing key suppliers, and assembly operations, etc.).
Applies knowledge of engineering (e.g. manufacturing, tooling, quality, and statistics, etc.) to analyze requirements of contracts, drawings and specifications to develop plans for the application of quality disciplines to processes
Ability to compile, measure and analyze process capability data, models to perform trend analyses and risk assessments
Ability to ensure sequenced inspection control points, create and maintain inspection accountability systems
Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System, root cause analysis, and Manufacturing Verification Processes
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM field of study. Advanced degree preferred
5+ years experience in Quality, Operations, and/or supply chain management
Experienced in AS9100 / FAA / NADCAP compliant Quality systems to include: authoring and deploying policies and procedures and auditing
Working knowledge / proficiency in Quality tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T elements, etc.
Experienced in eliminating non-conformances at the supplier level through use/implementation of 8D to drive zero defects
Effective at performing data analysis using software such as Excel, Tableau, MiniTab, etc.
Project management skills demonstrated; solid analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective communication & presentation skills both written & oral; ability to manage multiple projects
