Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements - 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficient in ERP systems
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Property accounting experience
Proficiency in financial statement preparation
Knowledge of Financial Statement
Cam Reconciliation experience preferred
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Must have excellent time management skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
