  Job Summary

  The Sr. Production Specialist functions as a dual role of creative and technological specialty in production and post-production, supplying to major productions focusing on Employee Communications and Public Relations advocacy objectives. In depth skills in creative technology are a must as well as an approach inclined toward collaboration while working independently. Responsible for coordination and execution of studio and remote productions.

  Job Description

  CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  Field & Studio Production:

  Camera Operation: Digi-cinema and ENG camera operation in studio also field environments.

  Lighting: Designs and set-ups for studio and field productions including LED as well as fluorescent. Solid understanding and working knowledge of lighting for green/blue screen.

  Audio: Operates in various scenarios including wireless, off-camera and multi-source mixing. Operates boom mic with multi track field mixer and properly dresses lavalier microphone.

  Still Photography: DSLR operation and proficiency with photo-editing a plus.

  Creative Editing: Programs and segments for external also internal use on various platforms as well as outlets (short form social media, long form testimonial and corporate videos).

  Data Management: Catalogue footage and maintains asset library. Follows departmental folder structure, workflows, and best practices. Manipulates content for sharing and distribution throughout company as well as to external partners across multiple sharing platforms.

  Project Collaboration: Supports cross-department initiatives and project partners; Creative Services, Live Events, Region, Division and Corporate production groups.

  Studio and Equipment Maintenance: Maintains day to day organization and maintenance of equipment inventory as well as solves sophisticated problems to remove studio/field production obstacles.

  Graphic Creation: Basic level creation of graphics and motion graphics for edited segments, virtual and live productions. Enhanced graphic creation skills a strong plus.

  Interacts and gives appropriate direction to high level Executives.

  Applies a sense of immediacy and takes ownership of projects to achieve timeliness.

  Acts in the capacity as a company representative always.

  Adherence to all legal expectations regarding copyright, rights clearance, vendor agreements, terms and conditions and licensing.

  Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work-related experience.

  Minimum of 2-3 years production / post-production experience.

  Proficiency skill level in cinema production, studio production, lighting, post-production editing, and audio sweetening.

  Experience with a variety of shooting formats (LOG, UHD, etc.) and styles. Solid understanding of color space, gamma, and proper utilization in production/field production.

  Proficiency in lighting for studio, field productions, and green/blue screen including fluorescent as well as LED.

  Proficiency with digital cameras including Sony, Canon cinema cameras (C500 Mark2, C300 Mark3,), Blackmagic (URSA, Pocket Cinema).

  Strong ability to tell a story through editing.

  Working knowledge of the Adobe Suite with expertise in Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects a strong plus.

  Basic understanding of motion graphics and graphics. Enhanced motion graphics abilities a strong plus.

  Experience with still photography cameras, Canon 5D Mark4, R5 a plus.

  Ability to interact appropriately with customers, community members and all levels of employees within Comcast including a strong executive presence with senior leadership.

  Independent work ethic in remote and distance environments.

  Collaborative approach for working with various partners and creative teams.

  Excellent verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal communication skills.

  Ability to receive and apply feedback from Manager and Creative Director.

  Exhibits timeliness, strong organization, preparedness, and proficiency in their craft.

  Active attention to detail.

  Ability to multi-task, use good judgment, troubleshoot, and problem solve.

  Ability to be a standout colleague in a fast-paced, fluid production environment.

  Ability to think and work independently.

  Works beyond normal business hours; flexibility with schedule a must.

  Ability to travel (10%-20%) with equipment throughout the Central Division (12-state footprint made up of the Southeastern and Eastern Midwest U.S.).

  Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

  Proficiency with basic computer software programs including Mac based applications, Microsoft Office products, and databases. Asana experience a plus.

  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
