Job Summary
This position is responsible for sourcing and supply management for electronic components, electro-mechanics, contract manufacturers and original design manufacturers. Procuring electronic components, other custom components, and PCBAs required for manufacturing processes, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and managing relationships with suppliers. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the smooth functioning of the organization's manufacturing operations.
Job Details/Responsibilities
In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and favorable supply agreements.
Obtain raw materials to support the production schedule, proactively manage the transition of materials from the supplier, and identify/resolve delivery problems.
Monitor and maintain optimal levels of electronic components in inventory to support production demands while minimizing excess stock.
Implement effective inventory control measures to reduce stockouts and excess inventory costs.
Coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure alignment between inventory levels and production schedules.
Create the forecast for product line supported using forecasting module of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and enter in ERP system to enable the execution of MPS/MRP.
Meet with Production/Engineering/Product Development to review current and future projects, to communicate schedules and expectations, and to provide assistance for any projects they have underway. Work on capacity utilization projects to determine what gaps may exist in the future.
Create, review, and revise production schedules and forecasts to suppliers to constantly balance supply and demand issues. Constantly consider capacity, manpower, projects, and maintenance needs.
Work with each supplier to assure adequate supplies are on hand to support the requirements of the production schedule. Consider supplier lead-time, transit time, flexibility of both Terumo Cardiovascular and supplier schedule.
Proactively address supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.

Ensure that all procured components meet the required quality standards and certifications.
Collaborate with quality control teams to conduct supplier audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to electronic components sourcing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
Generate regular reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost analysis for management review.
Product structure maintenance and new product set-up structure in ERP system.
Assist with cost saving projects in various functions.
Review specification changes.
Participate in supplier audits as required.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers, assist with identification of alternative suppliers, reduce supplier base by development agreements, etc.
Support the new product development process; this includes suggestions for commodities and suppliers, and cost analysis for materials.
May function as backup for supervisor when supervisor is not available.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
Required
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of two years of related experience.
Experience with components sourcing and procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Preferred
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of electronic components, industry standards, and quality requirements desired.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and supply chain software.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments.
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
Skilled at working with MRP systems - SAP experience an advantage.
