About Sr. Product Manager - Video Search, Visual Search and Augmented Reality

  Description

We are looking for an exceptional, self-motivated person who wants to work on core product management problems and grow into an end-to-end product leader. Our Product Management team is responsible for providing the vision, execution and analysis necessary to delight customers with world class experiences on our mobile apps and websites.

Our videos solutions enable customers to make a confident purchase decision by surfacing this right video that answers their search question. As a Senior Product Manager, you will drive product thinking from strategy to feature definition, UX design, implementation, and metrics-driven iteration. You will work with engineering and design teams to create and deliver the product roadmap, partner across Amazon to deliver results, and gain leadership buy in and trust.

To succeed, you will need to be creative, agile, and obsessed with how customers shop using visual modalities. You will also need to be highly data driven, but have the experience and judgment to know when and where to apply data.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical and product management background and demonstrates a passion for designing and shipping customer-facing products that will be used by millions of people every day. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who demonstrates a strong bias-for-action and enjoys a creative environment, a record of on-time delivery of large-scale projects and prefers owning projects from end-to-end.

  Key job responsibilities

Create the roadmap and key goal metrics for the videos program.

Share the roadmap and gain alignment with key stakeholders across engineering, science, design, and other stakeholder teams.

Define customer facing requirements (user stories) for engineering, design, and science teams.

Manage stakeholder communication and work with the partner teams to launch the video features across locales and devices.

Ideate on new initiatives that move the videos product towards its north star.

  About the team

Our mission is to help customers shop for what visually inspires them. Our Visual Search (VS) solutions help customers shop from an image within Amazon Lens (Camera Search, Shop the Look, and Barcode Scan), or get visual inspiration across other customer touchpoints on and off Amazon (More Like This, Find on Amazon). Our Augmented Reality (AR) solutions help customers visualize products, such as furniture, before they buy them. With Videos, Amazon customers should be able to type any shopping query in Search and quickly get relevant product videos from trustworthy sources that answer the customer’s question.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Palo Alto, CA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  Bachelor's degree

Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Experience with end to end product delivery

Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Experience managing technical products or online services

Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
