　　Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and maintain our world class capabilities in a dynamic environment. The selected candidate will support the Cryocoolers Operating Unit. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

　　The ideal candidate will be required to apply engineering principles to act as the liaison between engineering definition and production areas. The individual will have broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques and problem solving in order to contribute to the timely planning and execution of mechanical production, integration and test of spacecraft.

　　Typical tasking of this role may include:Reviewing engineering drawings (GD&T), process documents and specificationsGenerating manufacturing flows to build and test hardware that is compliant with engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements documentsGenerating manufacturing work instructions and test procedures that adhere to processes, engineering and quality requirementsGenerating and maintaining MBOMsCreating and maintaining work orders from master process plans through plan closureDefining tooling requirements and coordinating the fabrication of toolingConducting manufacturing readiness reviews and design reviewsProviding support to the production floor during fabrication and assembly phasesEnabling feedback loop with engineering definition for producibility, affordability, and incorporation of lessons learnedParticipation in project management, manufacturing scheduling and/or earned value management for program or functional initiativesPerforming IMS and/or production scheduling and forecastingConducting SAP transactions associated with parts procurement and demand loadingThe selected candidate must possess strong communication and technical writing skills, as well as an ability and desire to learn and problem solve. 　　The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

　　Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
