Description

　　We are seeking a Senior Patent Paralegal to join our client in Minneapolis. The firm is an AMLAW 100 firm, renowned, globally. In this key role, you will play a crucial part in small team of attorneys and support staff to provide Patent Prosecution services to a large client. As a Senior Paralegal, you'll be responsible for complex problem-solving and decision-making in managing U.S. and foreign patent prosecution dockets. Additional responsibilities include drafting correspondence to clients, managing patent portfolios, and contributing to patent due diligence projects. The ideal candidate will have front-to-back U.S. and International prosecution experience, client exposure, and strong communication ability, emphasizing strong project management skills and proactive communication with partners.

　　Responsibilities will include:

　　Communicate directly with clients regarding routine or procedural patent prosecution events.

　　Manage U.S. and international patent portfolios, ensuring accuracy and understanding of docket deadlines.

　　Draft various patent prosecution documents related to new applications, examination, appeals, and post-allowance actions.

　　Communicate attorney instructions to local counsel for international patent matters.

　　Create, monitor, and maintain the U.S. information disclosure statement database.

　　Assist with patent due diligence projects.

　　Navigate the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office online system for application status updates.

　　Conduct substantial country law requirements research and present findings for attorney action.

　　Apply expert knowledge of patent legal procedures, terminology, and activities to paralegal tasks.

　　Requirements

　　5 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting

　　Strong technical proficiency: Foundation IP, NetDocs, Global IP Estimator, SmartSheets (or OneNote), and Symphony

　　Ability to work overtime

　　Project management skills

　　Superior communication ability
