Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Kimbrough is the headquarters of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC), Fort George G. Meade, includes U.S. Army health clinics, occupational health clinics, telemedicine, behavioral health, allergen extract lab, drug testing labs, and environmental health clinics. Responsibilities Prioritizes treatments for patient having multiple problems and employs a variety of established emergency medicine techniques, methods, and equipment to the appropriate medical facility. Performs operator maintenance on the vehicles and equipment, as required. When not on emergency runs or patient transport missions, may be required to work in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) emergency room to provide patient care within the scope of practice. Respond on-site to accidents and other emergencies involving injury and illnesses, sometimes encounters situations which may be life threatening. Perform procedures, as required, and in strict compliance with standing orders and protocols. Conduct a complete examination of the patient to determine the nature, extent, and seriousness of his condition and searches for medical alert symbols. Performs other duties as assigned. Specialized Experience: I have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level of pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) extracting or working with patients' body fluids or tissues; 2) preparing patient specimens for examination; 3) performing specialized or non-routine tests on body fluids or tissue samples, or confirms patients' test results.
