  As a Sr. Oracle Applications Developer at STERIS, you will play a pivotal role in supporting, enhancing and the implementation of Oracle Applications with a focus on Supply Chain and Manufacturing Modules. You’ll collaborate closely with our dedicated teams to ensure seamless support, maintenance and implementation of development request and projects.

  This is role is considered Hybrid, with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH Headquarters 3 days per week. (Relocation assistance eligible)

  What will you do as Sr. Oracle Applications Developer - Supply Chain / Manufacturing?

  Software Application Support - 20%

  Monitor interfaces and processes in production systems for errors, performance and any other abnormality

  Provide first level support for assigned software applications

  Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by users of these modules and applications.

  Investigate issues using vendor support website(s).

  Create tickets or service requests with software vendor.

  Develop fixes and changes to programs to resolve issues

  Investigate setup or configuration changes required software applications

  Work with other team members, DBA and SA teams to resolve issues

  Work with Business Process Owner(s) to test and make changes to software applications

  Software Application Development – 70%

  Review and understand business requirements for development tasks assigned

  Develop new programs or makes changes to existing programs, according to business requirements.

  Develop test scripts and Tests programs according to business requirements

  Do performance tuning of programs, screens and other objects when performance issues are reported

  Perform unit, system and integration testing and participate in capacity / performance testing of an application. Create / test prototypes

  Conduct and participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.

  Perform data loads

  Work with business users to test programs in Development and UAT

  Write technical documentation

  Incorporate security requirements into design.

  Use code repository

  Work with DBA, System Administration teams to migrate programs to UAT and Production

  Work with Business Process Owners to investigate new functionality

  Work on software application upgrades

  Work with offshore resources to develop programs

  If working on an FDA validated system, adheres to software validation requirements.

  Project Planning – 10%

  Meets with business users to manage development requests

  Schedules development requests

  Provides status reports to supervisor and or management

  Provides estimates for deliverables and tasks

  What experience, skills, and abilities will you need?

  Your expertise as an Oracle Applications Developer coupled with a strong understanding of the Supply Chain and Manufacturing modules will be key to being successful in this role. Additional experience, skills and abilities are as follows:

  5+ years experience as an Oracle Apps Developer with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. In lieu of degree; 7 years of experience.

  5+ years experience in the following software applications: Oracle Discrete Manufacturing, Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM), Oracle Work in Process (WIP), Oracle Bill of Materials (BOM), Oracle Inventory.

  Expert Software development experience in Oracle R12 development tools: Forms/Reports Development Suite, Oracle Alerts, BI Publisher, SQL Developer/Toad, Putty, FTP tools (Filezilla or equiv)

  Advanced Development experience in Unix, Windows environment.

  Expertly interfaces with other applications using Web Services, APIs, flat file transfers or database links.

  Experience in the use of Middleware highly preferred.

  Full life cycle implementation of applicable software applications or upgrades experience.

  In depth experience designing and developing custom software applications.

  Comfortable and experienced with on-prem and cloud based software applications.
