Summary:
Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing research activities among registered nurses in the Department of Nursing. Acts as mentor and role model in guiding registered nurses in research activities. Demonstrates progressive vision for nursing and patient care services research and the ability to engage others in that vision. Plays a lead role in developing nursing research initiatives, fostering research utilization activities, protecting the rights of human subjects involved in nursing research. Explores research funding opportunities and disseminates research findings at professional organizations and in journals. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.
Qualifications:
Required:Current Ohio RN licensureRegistered Nurse with a research doctorate degree, PhD in nursing, education or related health field or a PhD(c) in same fields and actively in the process of completing the dissertation. Must complete dissertation within 5 years of hire.Certification in conduct of Human Subject Research or obtains within 3 months of hire5 years of clinical nursing experience.
Preferred2 years experience with clinical/nursing research.
