Description and Requirements
This role is responsible for leading a group of People & Talent Operations Resource Management team aligned to a specific Delivery unit (Service Factory), who will be responsible for driving on-time fulfilment, identify fulfilment risks and develop strategies (re-skilling, rotation, utilization) resource allocation, resource skills management, validating & enabling external hiring requests, enabling L&D programs to address demand-role-skill requirement, and bench management.
The Resource Management team will be organized and aligned with a specific TSD Delivery Unit respectively and play a back-up role for a different delivery unit (allowing for expanded coverage, rotation and avoid risk of downtime). Each team member will be the Delivery Unit SPOC for resource fulfilment requirements and be the SPOC for the demand owner and hiring manager. The Resource Management team will be the liaison for the Talent Acquisition team to help drive external fulfilment actions.
The team will perform the below key roles as a function:
Resource On-time Fulfilment
Drive all demand fulfilment with resource supply matching based on skill, location, level availability and schedule. Collaborate with the respective Strategy and Planning team members, to address demand inquiries, to enable faster and appropriate fulfilment. Facilitate demand requirement for resource assessments (internal and client), and ensure timely completion of assessment actions to drive on-time fulfilment.
Resource Allocation
Allocate resources to respective demands, based on demand owner agreement on demand-supply matching, facilitate resource onboarding to demand opportunity, de-allocation of resources for runoff/project release, re-assignment of resources.
Skills Management
In collaboration with Delivery Unit capability leads, ensure a refreshed repository of resources skills, certifications with a refined and periodically updated skill taxonomy. Ensure resource resume is refreshed/updated and available to share with demand owners for assessment and allocation.
Utilization
Track utilization of resources (total utilization and productive/billable utilization) aligned to organizational targets, to identify alternate bench (based on allocation & utilization), to improve overall TSD utilization metrics.
Bench Management
Identify active bench resources with a periodic view of bench aging, proactive fulfilment planning, re-skilling initiatives; to mitigate bench overrun and measure to targets
Capacity & Capability Planning
Collaborate with respective capability leaders within the delivery units to enable capacity and capability planning (readiness with L&D, proactive hiring, organization talent strategy with campus and graduate hiring programs, bench planning etc)
The Resource Management Leader will act as the first level of escalation for the delivery unit stakeholders, to drive committed fulfilment needs.
The Resource Management leader will establish and enable the process, policy, procedure, methods and measures to drive efficiency in the Resource Management team.
Position Requirements
Lead the Resource Management team for the People & Talent Operations organization, drive efficient and optimized on-time fulfilment.
Work closely with the rest of the People and Talent Operations team, to drive fulfilment with people strategies, and identify insights early to avoid any revenue/delivery miss caused due to resource enablement.
Identity skill-gaps and enable re-skilling opportunities with L&D programs, to have deployable resources aligned to demand signal, pipeline and forecast
Provide weekly operational updates to delivery unit stakeholders, People & Talent Operations leaders and TSD leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant Bachelors degree required
12+ years of professional experience in IT Services organizations or similar
8+ years of Resource Management experience (or similar experience), with knowledge about IT services delivery.
3+ years leading high performing teams.
Strong executive presence & leadership skills.
High level of communication & presentation skills.
Strong business & financial acumen.
Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance, thrive in ambiguity.
Collaborative approach to meeting business objectives and ability to influence at all levels of matrixed organizations.
Preferred Requirements (nice to have)
Global exposure across multiple technology service areas
Experience working with global teams and conducting business internationally.
Relevant Master’s Degree
