THE POSITION:

　　Execute and manage the Public and Government Affairs (PGA) Strategy for BI India working closely with the Director of PGA.

　　Tasks & responsibilities:

　　Play a proactive role in positioning BI as a Key Pharmaceutical Player by closely working with National / State Health Systems, government officials, industry bodies, decision-makers, think-tanks.

　　Lead disease policy shaping initiatives in BI priority disease areas like Cardio Renal Metabolism, Rare Disease, Stroke, Chronic Kidney Disease, Heart Failure.

　　Work with the Director PGA to ensure we establish and nurture engagements with key decision makers, MP's,think tanks and Embassy representatives.

　　Drive partnerships/MOU with external stakeholders especially with State Governments and Health organisations.

　　Explore opportunities to create a win-win proposition of partnership with external stakeholders.

　　Represent BI in relevant policy forums.

　　Policy advocacy at Centre and State levels to position BI appropriately in India and shape the external environment.

　　Work closely with the government & Industry bodies to drive policy advocacy.

　　Develop and execute PGA plans in line with various therapeutic areas of priority.

　　Work with cross functional projects in close collaboration with access, medical, communications teams.

　　Support cross functional team on policy matters to lead proactive advocacy.

　　Requirements:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Political Science or Business Administration Master in Life Sciences, Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics or BA is a plus.

　　At least 5 years’ experience in the field of MA/Government Affairs (overall experience 10 yrs.

　　Negotiation experience with Governments on key projects are essential , Results orientation/Conflict Resolution/Negotiation Skills/ Presentation Skills/Team working/Time Management/Creativity and Critical Thinking/ Working Under Pressure/ Problem Solving and Decision Making/Project Management/Business Administration.

　　Need to have: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry among others in health economics, outcome research, pricing, reimbursement, healthcare affairs, government affairs, planning/development/maintenance of relationships.
