Description
GSRC is looking for a Sr. Program Manager for scaling classification vertical within Global Compliance Operations. The candidate will be responsible for building, implementing and scaling mechanisms that help GSRC to effectively scale its classification processes while at the same time reducing cost to serve. In this role, we are looking for a Senior Leader to lead initiatives across programs that pan across verticals, and geos. The role holder would partner extensively with Sr stakeholders across WW Operations teams, program stakeholders and also work with Tech leaders on building tech first solutions.
Key job responsibilities
• Work with all ORC verticals to build a deep knowledge of program specific compliance needs and corresponding business requirements
• Collaborate with Operations, Program to understand the problems/challenges they face, and in parallel work with the Technology teams to understand their services, technologies and systems.
• Define vision based on various needs and deliver a PRFAQ/strategy/3year vision document to solve the needs.
• Partner with technology teams (within/outside GSRC) to develop these solutions and build a complete package that can drive efficiencies across teams.
• Identify opportunities for Upstream Defect Elimination, and work with a diverse group of stakeholders to prioritize highest ROI initiatives.
• Lead a team of Sr PMs to identify and define metrics that measure the success of each program; Develop Best Across Amazon (BAA) benchmarks for each of the metrics.
• Analyze program and project metrics and review them weekly and monthly to discover trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the risk is highest. Owns WBR / MBR / QBR metrics and review. Establish frameworks to balance risk with efficiency·
• Organizes Kaizen / Six sigma /ACES events to drive process/ quality improvements across functions/ programs, across GSRC·

The person must possess excellent program management skills, relevant operational background and experience in data analysis. The individual must have ability to work with cross-functional teams including senior leadership in India and abroad. He/she must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytic talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role. The person will be required to identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into our standards to continuously improve processes.

GSRC supports regulatory compliance requirements for Amazon’s worldwide programs such as Dangerous Goods, Global Trade Services, Food Safety and Extended Producer Responsibility, Transport Risk Compliance and Environment Assurance Program. Basic Qualifications
7+ years of team management experience
7+ years of program or project management experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
